Shōrin Ryu Karate-do or "small forest traditional karate" is a style of okinawan martial arts taught by Bushin Dojo. Here you may learn the proper techniques by which to block and counter any and every form of attack, for you will always be approaching self-defense in a variety of environments and situations. Be it on the floor, on ground, armed, unarmed, on guard or completely out of the blue, here you'll be presented with the tools to better defend yourself against all kinds of danger. Not necessarily being exclusive to combat scenarios, but also the day-to-day occurrences (accidents, falls, brute acquaintances and so on). In addition to it, the school is not only limited to hand-to-hand combat, but also includes "the art of wielding ancient weapons" (Kobudō) as a part of its teachings. Although it may seem odd at first glance, since we normally don't encounter such artifacts in the modern world, by learning the basic principles of their use, you will soon realise all techniques can be applied to more familiar weapons, tools or objects in general. Interestingly, the moment you learn how to apply this knowledge to the mundane, one is never truely "unarmed". Regarding the group, they are very friendly and quite welcoming, almost resembling a family where one is always looking forward to encourage each other.
