A good little museum with an interesting collection of paintings. Good insight into La Boca and the life of the artist. I would recommend it if you are checking out the area. Also, great views from the terraza!

I love this simple Museum and even more this local artist, best view of the Riachuelo and La Boca's vuelta de Rocha and bridge. Quinquela's story is worth to learn and his art and museum worth the visit!

Good to learn about Quinquela's art but also to enjoy the wonderful collection

Located in an old school building, the gallery inside doesn't not reflect the buildings exterior, or the entrance lobby which looks the part of a school still. Up 3 floors to the first 'floor' of the gallery you'll find brightly colored rooms and Argentinan art from various artists. The next floor up has "la casa museo", with more of Quinquelas art.

This neat museum in the Boca area was a great way to get experience with the local culture. We spent about an hour in the museum. The art includes mostly sculpture and paintings reflecting local artists and their styles from the early 1900’s. The museum included educational explanations for a number of the styles to help understand where the artists were coming from.

A nice surprise in Buenos Aires' neighborhood of la Boca. The museum is located in the house of Quinquela Martin the painter and some of his work is on display. Highly recommended!

Cool museum. 5 stars for the top floor, the former home of the man behind colourful Caminito. Best part of the middle floor is an offbeat local collection of ships' carved figureheads. When you finish, you can have lunch on the top floor of the Fundación Proa across the street with a view of the old port.
