Jorge proved to be the perfect guide for my climbing trip to Frey. His communication about planning before the trip was prompt and friendly, he was flexible and attentive when I explained my objectives for the trip. Once we arrived to the refugio on the first day, we wasted no time before getting on a multi-pitch route. It was immediately clear that Jorge has decades of experience and knows the areas where is guides intimately. He accurately assessed my ability, and chose routes that were appropriately challenging for me, with a primary focus on safety, making sure that I understood the systems that we were using so I felt confident with his leadership. For each day of the trip, we maximized each climbing opportunity - he is not shy to work long days, and his genuine care for the client experience is obvious. I would unreservedly recommend hiring Jorge (the founder), or any guide that he recommends through his company Andescross. His certification as IFMGA is the mark of international excellence, and his trip delivery is top-shelf - very professional guiding and warm hospitality. I am already planning my next trip with him.

Spent with Andescross (Jorge and Jose) 6 surreal days in the Patagonian mountains. The hut to hut trip around Bariloche (Refugio Frey and Jakob) had it all: beautiful scenery, delicious food and wine, technical ascents, technical descents, powder, spring snow, ice (hey you need to practice that too!) but most importantly amazing people. Jorge is ridiculously well known in the community and has eons of experience - I felt extremely humbled being able to ride with him. He's not only very skilled but also a great educator who knows how to adjust to the group. You could clearly see he was trying to figure out what's working and what's not within the group and was adjusting his guiding style as the trip progressed which made every day even better than the previous one. I will definitely try to go on more adventures with him. The trip was physically and technically demanding but that's part of what made it so special. Don't be surprised if you meet professional skiers and snowboarders at one of the huts, that's how famous they are! If you're looking for some challenging terrain, great snow and a once in a lifetime adventure then start booking your flights right now!

Had a great time climbing Tronador with Jorge from Andesscross! I had just taken a mountaineering course and was eager to use my skills on a glaciated and slightly more technical mountain vs. in my course. Tronador was perfect and Jorge was a great guide. He answered all my questions re: techniques and led us on a super fun weekend on the mountain. I'd highly recommend Andescross to others visiting Patagonia as well :)

If you are coming to Patagonia to do back-country skiing, this is the group to do it with. Jorge and his team are excellent. I made last second changes to the trip and they were able to accommodate. The weather was very tricky and we were still able to sniff out powder and ski some amazing terrain. Jorge and his guides are a great combination of safe and serious, but relaxed and enjoyable people to spend time with. My best advice for booking a trip with Jorge and his team is to be very specific with what you want to do. If you tell them the exact type of trip you are looking for they will find a way to map out the best plan. Definitely will be coming back.

This is my third time in Bariloche with Jorge . Previously he guided me and my friends skiing , but this time it was a summer vacation with my wife and 4 tween boys . We had a wonderful experience with Jorge . We have spent a week in and around Bariloche - rock climbing ,mountain climbing and glacier climbing . We also had horseback riding and kayaking . Jorge knows all the greatest spots where to do those activities . He’s friendly and very personable , and he is well connected with other mountain guides / kayak guides . We were a total of 6 people - and everybody went home with a big smile on their face . Just call Jorge and he’ll organize for you a dream vacation .

Sometimes it happens, you choose for good luck, and it turns out great, it cannot be better. This was exactly the case. I chose Andescross and was not mistaken. The trip turned out great. It lasted only 4 days, but it contained everything that should be in a good mountain trip. My guide was Pablo. He is an extremely serious and responsible professional guide. I was amazed at his professional motivation. He probably even more than I wanted, so that we climbed to the top of the mountain, and I managed to do this thanks to him. At the shelter on Tronadore, I met other Andescross guides, and it looks like they all deserve an excellent rating. And, of course, the soul of the company Jorge, sociable, cheerful and smart, and certainly an excellent guide. So I wholeheartedly recommend the company Andescross, and of course the guide Pablo Pontoriero.
