Overall, we like the place, service is generally pretty good and definitely friendly. Prices are higher than most of the Peruvian spots in the Abasto neighborhood, but the quality is significantly higher as well. Personally, I wasn’t impressed with the sushi roll, but I also only tried one out of the list. There’s no question that the spiciness of the dishes is toned down, probably for local palates more than anything – but then, the majority of guests on three visits were Peruvian – I doubt they really have to. Then again, I didn’t see anyone but us asking for hot sauce on the table, so maybe…. I’d say, stick with the real Peruvian dishes, which they do really well, and skip the Japanese attempts, which at least based on a small number of dishes, they don’t. Big plus for taking credit and debit cards, nearly unheard of in most more casual Peruvian restaurants (despite it being federally mandated that restaurants here accept cards, the vast majority still don’t). This place goes onto our list of favorites.

True peruvian flavor. Fresh ingredients, excellent food. Pisco sour is a must.

Some of the best food I've had in Argentina and plenty of it for a fantastic price at lunch: p200/3.60 including a great appetizer, a drink, and dessert! Nice ambiance and service too.

Quechua is a very good Peruvian food restaurant. There was a Venezuelan waiter who was very kind and nice. He was clear with us about the size of the meals. The food was excellent and tasty and the portions were way too generous. We ordered Lomo Saltado, Chaufon de Marisco and some sushi rolls.

Exquisite lunch, a real “beyond expectations” experience! We strongly reccomend - even to people familiar with Peruvian cuisine and thinking that they “exactly know what they to eat” - to try the “discovery” selection of entradas from “La Ronda” (the formula of 3 would count for 2 persons, the formula of 5 largely satisfied 3 curious guests). It will provide options for next visits, as you will definitely wish to return. Then, “tiraditas” of pescado (a masterful fusion between sashimi, fish carpaccio and ceviche) could really act as a refined main course, alternatively with a “Pesca a lo macho” cooked with the “catch of the day” ( this time, a “lisa” - good complement to the lenguado, pink salmon or corvina that made for the other - closer to raw-marinated - fish dishes). In Buenos Aires, where fish is so rarely eaten and cooked in so limited number of ways, the offer of la Quechua definitely put this restaurant on the “must try” list! Congratulations to Chef Julio Marin and to the kind, quick and amazingly knoledgeable staff!

100% recomendados
