Great place to stop to take in the awsome scenery. From there I hiked up the ridge....totally worth it and a much better choice than going to the cerro toro lake!

I'm not big fan of hiking but it's definitely worth it
We did the hike to Mirador del Cerro Torre and then further to Laguna Torre with our 10-month-old baby. This was the first 18 km hike we did with her and it was a good one to start with. Aside from the initial climb (about an hour or two) to the first lookout point (path and lookout were both very clearly signed), the rest of the walk was fairly flat. Lots of nice views and places to stop and feed our baby, particularly between kilometers 6 and 8. Beautiful view of the mountains at the end. Extremely windy at the top, so we had to button everything down to make sure it didn't fly away. The trail is in excellent condition. The campground at the end is nothing but a small covered area, so don't expect any facilities (there is an outdoor toilet).
Wonderful view!
Maravilloso.
