15% convenience fee for paying with a credit card. At the door it says that credit cards are gladly accepted, but this fee is kept secret until it’s time to pay. Food was OK, but the service was really bad. The waiter didn’t come to our table after serving our food. We tried making eye contact and calling them to our table, but they ignored us. Prices are high, but this is a touristic spot so it makes sense. Most people who eat here are tourists so they don’t care about reoccurring customers.

Wish we had the read the reviews before going! They tried 3 of our English based credit cards all of which created a secruity alert. They also add 20% on the bills which was extortionate. They tried to separate us when we had to go and get cash which is a half hour walk away. We refused and forced the manager to drive us. Buenos Aires is a brilliant capital, the night before we had a superb meal including a full bottle of wine for less than three half full beers and what they call food, which was dreadful. Avoid at all costs! Watch out for the madam that owns it, she is a witch

Thieves and frauds! We ordered lunch for three, after first asking if they took Visa, which they assured me they did. They were very friendly, asking where we came from, and I said the USA. That was a mistake! The bill should have come to about 3000 pesos (already overpriced, as the food was awful). They added numerous extra charges plus a huge tip, bringing the total to 4200 pesos - then said they DO NOT ACCEPT CREDIT CARDS. But, they would accept 100 US dollars, which by sheer coincidence (not) was worth 4300 pesos. I should have called the police but like an idiot I paid up in US dollars to avoid creating a scene, as we were treating an Argentinian friend to lunch. These frauds and thieves should be arrested & put out of business! I will be lodging a formal complaint with the Buenos Aires police, not that that will accomplish anything. But if even a single person reads this review and avoids getting ripped off by these thieves, this review will have served its purpose!
