Nice spot in the center of town to grab some food and pass time. We were there with our suitcases before needing to head to the airport. The owners were very friendly, and even helped us call a taxi and negotiated the price!

Great comfy, centrally located place. We only had coffee. Owned by an interesting couple. Wifi inside.

We had waffles! They were great. Menues are done with wodden covers. You can eat sweet and savoury waffles. Next time I will try the one that's got blue cheese. You can share your portions because they are huge! I had one with dulce de leche and grated coconut. I went with kids, neither of them was able to finish their portions!!

Cute little cafe with a colorful interior, cozy upstairs, and outdoor balcony. The staff is friendly and accommodating - a true El Calafate feel! Definitely try the Mate, its a unique experience. Love this place!

Their coffee from Buenos Aires was nice but very small serving. We ordered one spinach empanada and one ham and queso empanada which came with a good filling but the outside was burnt. It tasted awful from the edges. Wanted to order waffles but just the waffle with icecream(no fruits, no dulce de leche, no sauce) was 6. I usually get a waffle with caramel, fruits and icecream for 6 in New York City and to compare, this is a very small shop in a very small town where most things are quite affordable (don't be swayed with "It's a remote region, that's why it's pricey") It is quite pricey according to Argentina standards and size of the shop. I had an absolutely hearty meal for 7 at the classy Don Pichon last evening that had tip top waiters and a beautiful city view. Also had a massive burger with fries in another huge restaurant in El Calafate for the same price with very friendly service staff. This place looked overpriced where the prices were written in pencil and looked like they were overwritten on old prices . One thing you expect from a small cafe in a small town is smiling staff who wishes you good morning/afternoon and take your orders with a smile, nothing of that sort happened. They were talking amongst themselves and had straight face all the time whenever our eyes met. No greeting, no reply to our thank you's. Pretty average place with average coffee and empanada with unwelcoming staff for hefty price according to El Calafate standards. You can have a great meal with awesome friendly staff service in most restaurants in El Calafate for 6-7 per person. Google rating got us here but won't be returning or recommending. P.S. they also charge 5% extra for card payment which was not charged anywhere in any restaurant in Patagonia during our 21 day trip.
