Gustavo was a lovely host and waited into the evening for us to arrive. Easy check in and laid back. Great quiet location very comfortable bed and room. Wonderful shower. Great hikes start nearby. Ask Gustavo for all of his food and hiking recommendations they were all perfect.

Cozy, clean and very nice service. Owner is very kind and told us where to go in the town and where to start climbing.
Great clean location with amazing free breakfast
UNTRUSTWORTHY! THIEVING CROOKS! I had 400 USD stolen from my room. The money was hidden in my belongings in a very specific way. When I came back, everything was repacked differently and sitting out in the open. When we confronted the owner, he became belligerent, argumentative, dismissive, rude, and defensive. Typical machismo behavior. He screamed that El Chalten is a “very safe town,” but that is what a lock-box is for (I didn't have the key for it at the time, otherwise I would've used it). Ironic statements in one breath, not to mention the unprofessional manner in which he handled the situation. He yelled we could go to the local police department, but it was our last night in town before our trek. After weighing the pros and cons, I let it go for various reasons. None of mine nor my friends’ local currency were touched, just the USD. I highly suggest staying away from this place. Feeling violated and angry is an understatement. During our trek, we were able to store our belongings at a much friendlier and nicer hostel, free of charge, and none of our belongings were rifled through.
Great experience, it's a brand new modern and sleek apartments, they are still finishing more units. Host Romina and her husband were super friendly and attentive, speak good English, met us in person late in the evening , brought us light breakfast every morning, suggested restaurants and hikes. We stayed in an apartment with the loft, it's open concept, one queen bed on the main floor and two twin beds in the loft. 3-4 people will be comfortable there, there is a full kitchen, you can cook, but for dinner I suggest La Tapera, enjoy argentinian steak and lamb with Malbec . Enjoy
Excellent. Romina and Guatavo are very kind. The place is clean and has everything you need for a perfect Chaltén experience.
This hotel's owner is very unkind. They didn't accept credit card and didn't give a receipt that is over 1,000 peso. you gonna get sevral pages of 999peso. To avoid tax? The room had big noise when windy. Couldn't sleep well. Highly NOT recommended.
