By far, this was the highlight of my visit to Buenos Aires. We spent the day away from the city kayaking through the back waters and finding ourselves among the nature out on the Delta. It is a excellent way to see a different side of the periphery of Buenos Aires that not many people get to visit. If you come here, avoid getting on the tourist boats, and try to book a kayak or canoeing tour. You won't regret it. It was a fantastic highlight and an excellent way to get back in touch with nature.

What an incredible day. River taxi. Small nature walk to a hidden restaurant. Nature walk with guide. Lots of fun.

We were dropped off at the pier but there was no guide in sight. Poor signage and so we stumbled across the restaurant. This was the highlight. No English signage at all but one of the cooks spoke English. She explained that there were no guides and gave us a self-directed map with walking trails. We did the walk but again could not understand any of the signs regarding flora and saw no fauna. It was a pleasant walk but the whole experience was disappointing. We booked through Viator.

Beautiful sorroundings, well built, good menu. Worth visiting specially rowing or paddling your kayak.

Delta Terra is a small reserve in the Paraná River Delta. The entrance fee to the reserve is of around 8U, extremely overpriced for what they offer (there's not even a map of the place, so it's hard to know which paths you are missing). Regarding the environmental impact, forget about a solar panel or a biodynamic toilet. The restaurant (you don't need to pay to get to it) is OK, and the only reason why I gave 3 stars. A bit slow for serving the food and it was not full at all, so I can't imagine how long it would take on a busy day. But hey! It's the island rhythm. The women toilet was closed when we visited the place.
