Delicias de Alicia is Social Enterprise providing Cooking & Nutrition Workshops to disadvantaged children in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Our work is funded by profits from our pop-up restaurant and Catering Service, where we serve seasonal, fresh and organic vegetarian food. 100% of all profits are reinvested into the project, aiming to provide our free workshops to 60 children a month. Our Catering Services provide brunch, lunch, coffee breaks and evening cocktail receptions, as well as private dinners in our 19th Century renovated restaurante in San Telmo. We have catered for events ranging from 20 to 350 guests, providing a sustainable option for both local and international businesses. The majority of these children live off a basic diet of bread, fizzy drinks, tea and and pasta, and are lacking vital nutrients. Our workshops provide the opportunity for a hands on chance to talk about, play and experiment with food in a fun, safe environment. We work with children from 8 to 12 years, who complete a free 6 week programme, giving them basic cooking skills and information on a healthy, balanced diet.
