Its founders began to operate in the market early in 1979, with fluvial on carriage of Paraguayan cotton for its transshipment to oceanic vessels at Buenos Aires Port. Soon, Navytrans developed as the main regional cotton fiber operator, having today 90% of the market share for containerized cotton fiber exports. The group operates fluvial transportation for more than two decades now, and today they remark the potentially determining factor of this activity, for cargoes oriented to be exported via River Plate, whose origins are based on hinterlands of Argentinean and Paraguayan littoral ports. In 2002, Navytrans also established offices in Brazil, located in Santos and Paranagua, operating approximately 800 TEUS per year. From 2008 onward, Navytrans Group started to incur in the reefer cargo business, diversifying its focus on different goods and willing to venture in the now growing markets in the region, being food a perfect example of this.
