Amazing rock climbing days with Manuel from Chalten Mountain Guides. Extremely knowledgeable guide and a great teacher too. Safety was always a priority. We had originally planned a half day and ended up booking him for another full day as it was so much fun. He even helped us plan and gave us great tips for our alpine expeditions on the following days.

My wife and I and a third customer went on the 4-day Huemul Circuit in Dec '17 with guide Matthias. The trip was beautiful and challenging. We're experienced hikers and backpackers, but, I am glad we had a knowledgeable local guide to push us through the tough spots. On our own, we probably would have turned back on an extremely windy day, but, Matthias knew the weather patterns, got us up early, and over Paso de Viento before the most extreme winds kicked in. Arranging the trip with Chalten Mountain Guides was easy. It was nice that they prepared the food, and provided the 4-season tents. That much less to pack down on our trip from the states. We'd definitely go with this company again if we're down there in the future.

We booked a private guided hike a few weeks ago. We paid 250USD for a full day and very specifically asked for someone who was knowledgeable about local plants and wildlife. The walks are well marked therefore the information from the guide was the prime reason for paying for the service. We were disappointed with the guide who not only did not know that much about the above, but also was relatively uncommunicative and mostly needed to be prompted with requests for information, much of which he did not know about. Overall whilst the walking was enjoyable we do not feel we got what we had asked and paid for and were assured would get.

Climbing with Chaltén mountain guides was super fun and easy. We arrived to be greeted by Ariel and Ceicla. What wonder people first of all. They were professional fun and knowledgeable. We did a bunch of awesome climbs ranging from 5.7-5.10. It was super efficient. Awesome job Chaltén mountain guides !!!! Bravo
