Went to Abra de Acay from San Antonio de los Cobres. Great ride! You do not need a 4x4 unless it has rained heavily as you will need to cross a couple of streams on your way down. It gets cold and most likely windy when at Abra de Acay so pack appropriately.
The 5 stars isn't juist for the viewpoints, but the whole route driving up and down again, going South from here being best. Going South is a long 1st 2nd gear windy (curves) road. The new tourist attraction at the top is a fox that comes to welcome you. The sign says no hunting, so it has taken to begging.
The highest place I've ever been! I found two foxes in that high
Wonderfull views, drive carefull, the roads are narrow....

Tremendo lugar, tremenda vista!!
