Absolutely gorgeous, and worth the 12 mile (round trip) hike. The end of the hike does climb a steep wall in order to get the best views, and probably takes a certain level of fitness. Highly recommend. The views are great throughout and the change in terrain is entertaining, especially coming out of the forested area... You'll see what I mean!

Clear day with amazing views.
What a hike! One of the two tough hikes we did in El Chalten. Beautiful hike with a huge climb at the end of the way out. Took a lot of effort but look at the views. Be ready to sweat for sure
The most interesting of the day hikes out of El Chalten in our opinion... wait for a clear day if you can, the views from the summit are incredible and 360 degrees!
The best views to be had on any walk from El Chalten. Only 8km to the viewpoint from the national park office, not the 10 or 12 signposted or on maps. Last 3km is very exposed and challenging in high winds. A great day hike in good weather. Ground varies from hard packed earth to loose scree.
Amazing 5hours trek from el chalten, the last part is facultative to reach the summit most of the time snowy if it rained the previous day
Nice hike with less tourists than the other routes. About 8 hour roundtrip. Good views of the mountains and glacial lake.
Definietly worth to go there. Stunning views. A bit steepy in the end but doable without any equipment.
