Leila and Federico took care of us for our rental. Both were professional, helpful and friendly. Above all they seemed to genuinely care about their customers. We are travelling with a 15 month old and Leila told us to make sure we gave him lots of water to help combat any sickness from the effects of the high altitude etc. Would highly recommend both.

Frederico was very attentive. We didn't need to wait long, and our 4x4 truck (a Nissan something) only had a couple thousand kilometers on it, and ran beautifully.

We rented a truck in the downtown Salta location, but returned it to this location. At first, the return procedure was a bit complicated because -- unlike the US and many other countries we've rented cars in -- there was no designated area in which to return the vehicle. After several trips driving around the entire airport we finally just parked in the main parking lot and went inside to the Hertz desk -- where we discovered that that actually was the return procedure. After our initial confusion, it was all smooth sailing as we told the staff where the car was parked in the lot and they promptly went to inspect the vehicle. Had a great chat with the other agent who spoke perfect English, was incredibly friendly, and seemed genuinely interested in our trip and how we enjoyed visiting the Salta region. Great experience all around and would highly recommend -- though I would suggest that management maybe make the return procedure a little more clear for people who might be unfamiliar (either via some signage or maybe an email).

Rented a basic sedan Chevy Onix with manual transmission. Had great fuel economy. The car had no problems. We were very satisfied with the car performance, the transparency of the reservation pricing & included insurance coverages, and the straightforward handling by the rental office staff at the airport.

Jorge, Leila and Federico did a great Job through the entire process. Pick up and drop off impecable, although you will need to plan for busy flight time (drop off and pick up lines). Had an issue with our car mid week, and Federico was super cool dealing and getting my car swapped. Highly recommend these guys if you want a no surprise experience!!!

Sadly, although our reservation was made far in advance, the office of Hertz was not at all ready for it. First off, the employees we saw on thursday 14/11 were simply not in the mood to work, and prefered to chat with their friends instead of helping the people queueing up. When they finally helped us, it turned out the GPS we booked was not around, and they gave us the impression that they could not care less about it. Only after 1 hour of complaining and demanding a solution did they bring us to another Hertz facility where there was a GPS. I still cannot believe the impoliteness and lack of effort Hertz pulled off in this situation. I always had a decent experience with Hertz in the past, but after this I simply cannot recommend them to anyone.

Terrible service ! Avoid ! Our plane was late leaving Bs As and so we tried calling Hertz several times to tell them. No one picked up the phone. When we got to Salta, "Raul" told us they didn't have anymore cars and because we were late our reservation was cancelled. I protested and said we tried calling. They said that they would have cars later on in the day or at worst the following morning. They would get in touch. They sent us to our hotel in central Salta in a shabby cab that, at least, they paid for. We didn't hear back from them. So we went to their office in central Salta near our hotel. A young woman was the only one there, she didn't seem to have a clue about anything , took our names and number, hotel. We went back again in the early evening. There we were met by another gentleman who said that "Raul" had made a mistake. There were no cars. Our reservation cancelled. We would have to fend for ourselves. I was livid. The man who's name I didn't get called his manager who said the same thing on the telephone but didn't deign to come out of his office and take responsibility. I know that car rental companies can call on their peers and find cars when they feel so inclined. This branch of Hertz didn't. They almost ruined our vacation because you need a car to be able to visit the natural beauty of Salta province if you don't want to be trapped in a tour. We did eventually find a car (for less money). Don't go to this branch office of Hertz. Unprofessional in the extreme ! PS It looks like they're getting their friends to write positive commentaries to get their numbers up !

We arrived in the afternoon and numerous people from our flight wanted their rental car from Hertz. We were the 5th in the queue and waited about 10 min. which i consider short since they only have to counters for the rentals. We had a Chevy Prisma, standard car(personally i don't like it, but standard price standard car) spacious enough for all the luggage. We drove larger tours and the only thing we really missed was a central locking. When we returned the car the staff was way more friendly than before (Layla was very nice) and informed us, that we might need to wait a little bit. All in all professionell and focused on the important things.
