mind blowing gold altar. it was overwhelming to see the gold rays eminating from the interior. crowded cathedral, 4 yrs ago. this shows the immense wealth and devotion of the locals and the workmanship passed down by the spanish. similar ornate over the top gold religious pieces can also be seen in mezquita of cordoba in spain.

So colorful and beautiful inside. They are 3 churches like this near the square. All are beautiful. Free to go inside and maybe you can say a prayer if you want.
This is a must stop and see if you are anywhere close. Magnificent church with the public square in front.
