When picking up the car this morning in Bariloche the receptionist told us we should return the car in San Martin with a full tank of gas. She then explained us that the gas in San Martin is very expensive and that she could make a ‘special price’ for us by paying for the gas in advance, she asked 3150 pesos for this. This seemed a bit much to us as we were not expecting to use a full tank of gas during our short day trip. When we explained this to the lady she told us the car can only drive 400kms with one full tank, we subsequently agreed to paying the 3150 pesos. When arriving in San Martin we only used a quarter of the tank of gas and thus the 3150 pesos paid in advance was way too much, the Hertz employee in San Martin there was of course no option for a refund. We feel scammed after this experience, the lady in Bariloche talked us into paying for the gas in advance knowing this would be too much for our trip from Bariloche to San Martin. There is also no way the car can only drive 400 kms with one tank: we drove 209kms today and used only a quarter of the tank. This really screwed up our experience with Hertz and will definetly not recommend to anyone.

After getting broken into, we forked out the bill to have the car fixed after getting told hertz would cover it! Love how rental companies screw you over any chance they get. Will not use hertz again.
Good experience with Hertz in Bariloche. Nice attention from the staff, they make sure to find us a car available by the time we need it. Good service! They also provided recommendations on places to go around the town.
Worst car rental service in town, they ask you to get tickets but take customer who just come to them while you are waiting and when you are finally called in they had bad actitudes.
We did an online reservation a day before pickup and payed with CC. Unfortunately this agency is horrible organized and we had to wait in line 60 min before we could pickup the car. The employees are ineffective and want to sell you even more insurances , although we have chosen online the full coverage. Not recommended to get a car here.
The service is quite slow and on top while at the desk the girl was accepting phone calls. It took us 75 min. (!) to pick up a car which was reserved and pre-paid.

Car was terrible, very rattly and turn signals didn't work at all! Unfortunately I didn't figure that out until I was on my way out of town and didn't want to waste time going back. I told the staff upon return and they couldn't care less, in fact they acknowledged being aware of the issue! Only giving one extra star because service was quick and efficient when I picked it up, unlike what other reviewers have reported.
