I flew to Bariloche, Argentina to enjoy a ski trip with my boyfriend. He’s a skier, I am not. In search of a ski school to properly teach me how to, We discovered La Base. As soon as I stepped into La Base school I was recieved with a warm welcome from Vale. She was amazing in guiding me throughout scheduling lessons I need, matching me to a FANTASTIC Italian instructor Enrico. Both Enrico and Vale worked with me in my progress. Enrico’s teaching techniques were excellent. He drew on the snow with the poles to visually see how to place my skis on to avoid siding down as you place them on, arm placement exercise on turns, proper body posture and many more. In fact he helped me face my fear of speed control, heights and falling. (I already had previous injures from the Marines, which I communicated to Enrico). He even taught me the proper way to fall in case I ever had too. Due to the confidence in my lessons. By day two I went off with my boyfriend to try on my own but fell when a child cut me off. I had to cancel my third lesson for a day of rest as per the doctor at the base of the mountain suggested. Which Vale (who also spoke English) helped with rescheduling and guided my non Spanish speaking boyfriend to extend our lift tickets to another day, as I recover from my knee. Thanks to this school I fell in love with sport, found confidence to not fearing any fall, speed or the heights of these beautiful snowy mountains. I would give this school 10 stars if it was option. I highly suggest it. Besides it’s right at the entrance of the base to the right. By the way ALL the staff in this school is amazing with excellent customer service skills. Plus the prices are perfect.

Perfect experience! Highly recommend private lessons specially if you come from a "no-snow" country such as mine. Staff is great and happy to teach you, great logistics and equipment!
Very disappointing ski rental. I don't know if it s average Argentinean standards but the equipment was old and the service very slow which caused the formation of long queues. I should emphasise the rental staff is working hard but their system is inefficient and chaotic and they could certainly do with extra staff at least at peak time.
Excelent facilities, amazing views, great tracks.
Awesome staff, great teachers. Would definitely use again.
