I was given a 5-year old Chevrolet Spin with almost 140000 km (yes, that's one hundred and forty thousand kilometers!). The tires were in below-average condition and the engine oil was pretty dark (see pictures). There was also a small oil leak, which I suppose is normal for a car of this age. Though I was given the option to return the car after the first day, I had no choice but to keep it since neither Express Car nor other local agencies had a similar car in this segment (large) available at the time. I would have NEVER agreed to rent this specific car in the first place had I been told of its condition ahead of time. Thankfully, while its condition appeared to have worsened overtime, the car did not break down after 20 days and 4000 kilometers. While Jorge (the owner of the agency) was professional and courteous during the whole process, he refused to acknowledge the condition of the car, repeatedly stating the vehicle was reliable and up to date with the maintenance. Based on my traveling experience in Argentina, most car rental agencies provide newer vehicles with much lower kilometrage for about the same rates. Even with proper maintenance, a car of this age and condition is prone to breakdowns, and should never be made available for rental because it's a liability to the customer. Make sure to shop around as there are plenty of options in Mendoza. Ask what car (including year and kilometrage) you are getting before make the reservation.

We rented a car for 4 days and the owner was really nice. We got a good car for a really good price aswell. The problem started when we returned the chevrolet. While checking the car for any demage they noticed that the front chevrolet sign was gone (only the front one, there is an other one at the back of the car). There was no other damage on the car, nothing else was missing, the car was otherwise returned exactly how we got it since we didn't have an accident or anything else. It is/was obvious, that the sign must have been loose before or worst case badly re-glued to the car before we received it. Unfortunately the owner didn't care and told us it is possible that someone took/stole while we had it and that it wasn't his problem and we had to pay an additional amount of 50 US Dollars. I asked whether we can find each other somewhere in between but he denied, so we paid the extra 50 dollars. We told him we would tell our story on the internet and he started screeming and got really loud so we felt very uncomfortable. We wouldn't recommend it to anyone!

Desde el primer llamado Jorge me generó mucha confianza y cumplió con todas las expectativas. El proceso para alquilar lo hace muy fácil. Siempre fue muy claro y estuvo a disposición para despejar todas las dudas que podían surgir. Una vez en Mendoza, nos recibió de la mejor manera, con muy buena onda y nos entregó el auto con todas las cuestiones pertinentes en orden. La devolución también fue igual, sin ningún tipo de problemas. El auto estaba en condiciones óptimas y no nos demandó ningún tipo de inconveniente. Recomiendo sin dudas elegir este lugar, yo volvería a hacerlo.
