The Cathedral is magnificent. It is one of the most beautiful in Latin America and if you are in Argentina is worth visiting it and take some time to visit La Plata city as well. It is possible to make a tour around it and enjoy a very unique architecture. Other cathedrals that are worth visiting are the one in Lujan and in Buenos Aires. I would only say that the surroundings are not clean at all. Trash is on the ground and people do not take care of the public places.

La Plata Cathedral is a Neo-Gothic construction that took over 100 years to finish. It was completed in 1997 when they added the needles. If it's a clear day, I personally recommend taking the full your with the elevator ride. You can actually see Rio de La Plata (La Plata River) and appreciate the disposition of streets and green spaces.

10/10 smells like a church, enough for me

You don't expect this kind of architecture in South America and you definitely don't expect a Cathedral with this level of detail to be made of brick. The design was incredible and the history behind the building is unique as well. The interior is just as grand as the exterior and has a holy aura to it. Definitely worth stopping in for a minimum of 30 minutes. The stain glass alone is worth it

One of the best cathedral ive ever seen. From the outer structure to the inner historic designs.

The cathedral is beautiful from inside and outside. If you enter downstairs on the right of the stairs, you access the cafe with free toilets and the museum. The entry fee was 100 ARS when we went November 2019, and the museum has many interesting pieces about the history of the cathedral and an art exhibit as well. You'll be able to drive up to the two different platforms in one of the towers, where you have a great view of the city. Definitely a place to spend a nice hour or two exploring the city.
