Horrible experience. Booked a car a month prior to our trip. I Called Alamo's head office to confirm that everything was in order. The only thing that needed to be paid on site was a 5 US/day insurance (roughly). Once on location... 10 US /day extra fees. (I'm guessing its insurance) 1000 deposited. ok, I understand in case of accidents (dents, scratches, etc.) 15 for drop off at the airport kiosk 30km away from downtown. ok same price as a taxi Then I need to accept a 300 000 ARS (5250 USD) franchise incase of major damage. I understand I dont need to pay the fee unless something major happens but that's the value of the used Chevy I was renting... Then they dropped the franchise fee to 200 000 ARS because we weren't pleased with the news. no way am I accepting a 5000 fee when they have insurance to cover major repairs... Nor do I trust a business that switched its policies within 5 minutes by such a large sum. additionally, they ask to sign the visual inspection sheet before having seen the vehicle. Basically, they are preparing to scam you. We booked our excursions with tour buses
