Mafalda no está gordita, está llena de amor! Mafalda is an Argentine comic strip written and drawn by cartoonist Joaquín Salvador Lavado Saco, better known by his pen name Quino. The strip features a 6-year-old girl named Mafalda, who reflects the Argentinian middle class and progressive youth, is concerned about humanity and world peace, and has an innocent but serious attitude toward problems. The comic strip ran from 1964 to 1973 and was very popular in Latin America, Europe, Quebec and Asia. Its popularity led to books and two animated cartoon series

Picturesque and colorful. San Telmo is one of bohemian places that nobody should skip. Traditional and amazing. Crafts are not expensive, bars and restaurants are also interesting. Look around twice and enjoy.

A simple place to stay and take pictures with Mafalda. The best day to do it is on Monday, because on Saturday and Sunday there are so much people in the queue. You can stay in San Telmo Market on Sunday too, cause is closest.

This is the beginning of "Paseo de la Historieta". Mafalda is a fictional character created by Quino. She represents a girl from the middle class. So have a seat next to Mafalda and ask someone to take you a picture.

Come here in the evenings so as not to get clutter in your photographs. She and her friends could do with some retouching tho. PS there’s a cartoon trail which is fun and free for the kids in B.A. it passes a cartoon museum which is free on certain days (at the time of writing so please check)
