Very good hostel with cozy beds, great location and friendly staff. There’s a rooftop for relaxing, making some good connections and for parties. Every week there’s asado (bbq) party that you gonna love for sure. I had a great experience at Holy.

A group of girls and I had a reservation to stay here and arrived, unpacked, and ended up leaving to get a hotel nearby. When we walked in it smelled of urine, the entire hostel was very dirty, the pictures online made it seem much nicer than it was. The mattresses and pillows were stained and my "clean" sheets had a couple yellow stains on it! Would never stay here again. Of course we did not get our money back but we did not even care, it was so gross...
Good price, staff is friendly, bit worn down bed cubicles and no proper bed sheets for the blanket. Not really hygenic this way.
Very nice hostel for a fair price with a helpful staff and comfortable rooms. Especially liked the asado nights the staff organized

I stayed at the holy hostel at the end of my trip in Argentina and I love this place. As the pictures show it is very modern and creative. You will most likely hear all kinds of music around the hostel and at the rooftop which I personally loved. The rooms have personal pods with curtains and they are very spacious, the kitchen has everything you need and even though there is no bar be assured the area is full of bars, restaurants and clubs. As it might be important to mention and I can say out of experience other hostels lack in that the showers have great pressure and hot water and the wifi is top. For those who are into electronic music the boiler room filmed a DJ set on their rooftop a couple of years ago. The area is Palermo and have stayed elsewhere in Buenos Aires and being a solo female traveller I felt very safe and the streets are just perfect for having a little stroll around. The best about holy hostel is with no doubt their employees. They all speak English, are super relaxed, friendly and helpful. My partner was supposed to leave a few days earlier then myself and due to a missing visa for the US we had to head back to the hostel at 10:00pm. Even though I had already booked my single pod and given the time of day they quickly changed it to their double room. So thank you to everyone at holy hostel YOU GUYS ROCK
Tati literally gave me her number so I could call her if I needed any help or if I got myself into any trouble. Tati is so sweet and all the employees are super nice and friendly. The best part is the sleeping cubbies. Very good privacy. I wouldn’t recommend to an older more established person who is used to luxurious accommodations. I would recommend to people who are young, and don’t mind wearing earplugs to sleep. Bring earplugs. Bring your own padlock if you feel insecure ( each cubby has a lockbox) ... but I never felt insecure. It is wonderful for the price. The towels smelled a little bit weird... but who cares!!!! It was great! I’m actually currently still here... lol ALSO! very close to lots of nice things (like: Loving Hut vegan restaurant) (for all those vegans out there) and close to public transit. ️️️️ thank you Holy Hostel!
Be careful here. Two bad memories. 1) There was really loud techno music when I came in the early afternoon! Only after three times bidding the hostel manager turned down to a normal silence. In between he always turned it up again as if I am stupid. 2) Ferry to Montevideo: Would have send me to the wrong address and also much too late. The rest was ok and the other conversations good but these things should not happen. No refund etc. was given for the missed ferry.
