It's a great place to try wines. I've been coming here for a long time. It used to be a quiet and very romantic place. With the wine machines it has lost a lot of it's romanticism, and gotten a bit more bustling with bourgeois wannabees, but it still has a well design menu of simple dishes with high quality ingredients

This is the McDonalds of wine bars. You will be disappointed that you wasted so much time and money on low quality wine and food. The wine is digitally dispensed like a soda fountain. Yuk! Everytime you want a glass of wine you must get up and get it. Every taste cost money and the pour is an exact measurement. You don’t come all the way to Argentina or a “wine bar” to have a machine dispense you wine. It was awful. If you love wine, if you love the beauty of human interaction, or want to try good wines, don’t go here. Of course, if you want to be treated rudely as well this is the perfect tormented experience. They started off pretty friendly. Letting me know that the tables were reserved and that I would need to leave by a certain time. But then a night shift waiter came on. He was so rude. Trying to clear my table 30 minutes before our agreed time. It wasn’t cool. Also he wouldn’t give me a glass of water and said the huge, obvious water canteen was only for employees. (Everyone gives you free water in Buenos Aires, this was an anomaly). I was very consciously respecting the time and asked for my they had given me, the restaurant was empty and the reservations did not arrive early. there was no need for this. Empty! Literally it was me and 2 guys. But despite my bad experience again the real reason you should go is that this is not a pleasant way to experience the great wines of Argentina.

My friend wanted to go this wine bar since it got a brief mention from the NYTimes. We came after dinner on a Sunday night. It was very dark and there was no one else there. I was wondering if it was even open. However, there was a delicious aroma of fresh baked bread, which was a little strange considering it was night time. The owner was a very nice guy, and very conversational too. He mentioned that he usually had more customers, but there was a food festival that night. After we were seated, we decided to try a tasting of 3 different pours, and each pour was quite generous. It was actually a nice atmosphere, except for the slightly creepy, pitch dark staircase to the bathroom upstairs.

Innovative concept for a winery. Perfect complement of minimalist decor, nice atmosphere, helpful waiters, flavourful dishes, and excellent wines. We ordered hummus, cheese, and sweetbread, nicely paired up with the wines. Quite demanded on weekends, I'd suggest a reservation.

If you love or are curious about Argentinian wines then you'll be in heaven here. A wide range of varietals, terroirs, and styles, most only 50-75 pesos (1 USD) per taste, much more affordable than their competition in this neighborhood. Don't listen to the haters who leave bad reviews just because they had a bad day - give it a try I think you'll like it.

Good wines and a bit pricey considering the food but ambiance and wine is good.
