This monument to the Carta Magna and Four Regions of Argentina is made entirely of bronze and Carrara marble. It was a donation from the Spanish community in celebration of the centenary of the Revolución de Mayo of 1810. Although the founding stone was set in 1910, the sculpture was not finalized until 1927. It takes a bot of effort to find a safe crossing to the statue, but it is well worth the effort. Check out Wikipedia for a fascinating history of this interesting monument.

The white monument is eye catchy. Its almost impossible to miss it in day or at night. The elegent white monument is my personal favourite in BA. When strolling in Avenida Libertador or in recoleta you just cann't pass without looking at it.

Go for a walk later in the evening when there are less cars and sun is setting. Great spot near the many small parks.
