Beautiful monument in a lovely park park with busy avenues all around.

Monument to the Falklands War, an often-forgotten-about war outside of Argentina between Argentina and Britain in 1982. If you go in the morning or around 6PM you may see the soldiers hoisting the flag. Very nice, solemn memorial.

It matters not the country of your birth, we must always respect the fallen.

Beautiful memorial for the fallen in this conflict. I took a walking tour and this was one of the stops. The guide says it's a legend that the location of the memorial was strategically placed opposite the Torre Monumental. The Torre Monumental was a gift from Britain, so placing the memorial in close proximity was a political statement/protest regarding the outcome of the war!
