Fueron célebres sus bailes canguros por los que pasaron Osvaldo Pugliese, Juan D'arienzo, Rodolfo Biaggi, Albero Castillo etc Ejemplo del club barrial y familiar de principios del siglo XX. Su nombre es por una revista muy popular en los años 30. Sus miembros y directivos fueron generalmente hijos y nietos de familias originarias. Uno de sus presidentes fue Daniel Scioli
