Cute. Lots of people dancing. Nice atmosphere. We arrived at 11:30 pm just as the band was packing up. By 1:15 the place had really thinned out. doesn’t take international credit cards and has a god awful exchange rate for foreign currency. Has a charge for a table and a minimum order - but just 65 and 300 pesos each respectively, so not an issue other than we bought drinks we didn’t drink or want just for the minimum.

A bit outside centre, but very pleasant place. Good milonga and good service, good food. I rate 4points due to being a bit far. But that day I came there just for Los Laureles Sunday milonga. I loved it!

One of the most authentic and historic bars. Perfect setup and a real window to old Buenos Aires. Food is also great and not expensive. Highly recommend.

Traditional Tango Club from the 18th century. If you want something authentic away from the touristic artificial tango shows, then this is your choice.

We looking for a location where Argentine people go for tango dancing, not a tourist type tango show. This is a good place for that. We ate pasta and were not too impressed with it, but the service was good. It was a Friday night, we arrived about 8:30. There was an instructor giving tango lessons. We chose to just watch. About 9:30;the place started filling up, and the good dancers started. Then came a guitar player and some really good singers. We really enjoyed the evening. Then bill was Less than 600 pesos. Don't forget to tip t musicians. They pass around the hat. We left about midnight, but they go until 4:00 am. The neighbourhood and the building are a little run down, but that is pretty typical for this kind of place in Argentina. We took Uber both ways for about 6.00 each way. Also, don't forget to tip the driver. They don't make much from the fairs.

Great historical restaurant from 1893. Good food, tasty and affordable. Some nights of the week they have milongas (where locals dance tango) with live music. Highly recommended.
